Groundwater Brings Contaminated Water Damage to River Edge Commercial Property
SERVPRO responded to a call at this River Edge structure that had a large amount of commercial flood damage in a utility room. Most of the water had receded by the time the technicians arrived on-site to begin the restoration services. There were cardboard boxes and lumber stored by where the water heater was installed and the technicians needed to remove those articles outside the worksite so a complete extraction and drying job could get done on the substrate foundation. When groundwater is the culprit for the water damage, the technicians treat the water with one of their professional biocides to lower the risk of handling the water which can contain a host of harmful elements including pathogens and sewage.
