Fair Lawn Water Damage AffectsTwo Levels

A pipe break in this Fair Lawn house caused water damage upstairs and downstairs. SERVPRO techs arrived to find signs of water intrusion in the downstairs bathroom and used their moisture detection equipment to determine the migration path of the water which led through the floor joists to the level above. There was a significant amount of controlled demolition needed in the bathroom to make the ceiling easier to dry. The techs removed the ceiling around the exhaust fan and a portion of the wall around the window to allow greater airflow in this area. The techs use specialized vacuums with a bag attachment to remove the fiberglass insulation in the wall cavities.
