Township of Washington Basement Needs Water Damage Cleanup

This basement in the Township of Washington had a large amount of water damage on the floor. SERVPRO techs used portable pumps to extract the water from the basement floor. The television, fridge and other items got moved outside the loss area. For the items standing in water in cardboard boxes, each piece receives inspection for restoration potential. Technicians do not dispose of loss items without the approval of either the homeowner or the adjuster. Fortunately, the slab concrete floor dried quickly through the use of the air movers and dehumidifiers. Then, the painted cinder block walls and floor received a wipedown with antimicrobial cleaners to both disinfect and remove any remaining water odors.
