Storm Damage to Fair Lawn Home Needs Comprehensive Cleanup

A strong storm system rolled through Fair Lawn and caused storm damage to this home. The water leaked through the roof and entered this room via the ceiling. Due to the seepage of the water through the floorboards, SERVPRO technicians removed them to dry the subfloor underneath. The ceiling wicked water and became too damaged for restoration services as did the sheetrock beside the entry point. The techs performed controlled demolition to get the ruined sheetrock and part of the cabinets out of the loss area so the wall cavities could be opened up for greater airflow as seen in the After Photo. This preps the space for the necessary repairs to bring the loss area back to its pre-damage condition.
