Westwood Water Heater Failure Leaves Water Damage
When a hot water heater tank fails, the result is tens of gallons of water all over the floor leaving behind water damage. In the case of this basement in Westwood, the water ran under the boiler which was fortunately raised and received no damage from this event. The cement floor and partially finished walls with sheetrock installed over painted cinderblock walls had signs of slight wicking of water but SERVPRO technicians thought it could dry without issue and the need for flood cuts. As seen in the After Photo, the boiler and cement floor are dry and the sheetrock walls dried without issue. The water heater is now ready for repair or replacement as needed.
