Hillsdale Basement Water Damage
The basement in this Hillsdale home had water damage. The homeowner had a few large-sized aquariums that housed both fish and reptiles and they required careful handling so the carpet could undergo removal. While the goal of SERVPRO technicians is always to restore rather than replace, the carpet received saturation from groundwater which is a category three biohazard. After the removal of the carpet and items from the affected area in the basement, the technicians worked on drying the subfloor and the baseboards needed removal to open up the bottom of the walls for complete drying as referenced in the After Photo that shows the homeowner’s pets in the aquariums virtually undisturbed despite all the changes necessary in the room for mitigation.
